SOUS CHEF - HAURAKI GULF

We are looking for a skilled Sous chef to join our kitchen team. Starting immediately.

The role requires flexibility and eagerness to work between sections with our current team.

The successful applicants must be passionate about food, have a strong work ethic - be honest, organised, punctual and reliable with great communication skills.
Have good knife and multi tasking skills to nail the prep in your section.
Work well under pressure and confidently as part of a team in a calm friendly manner, and lead it in the Executive Chefs absence

Level 3 cert in cookery and holding a current Food safety & hygiene certificate is essential, as is at least 2 years proven work experience in a Sous Chef role.

And! You must be able to work nights and weekends.

We are situated an hour north of Auckland - so reliable transport is a essential, we are happy to help with temporary accommodation for the right applicant.

The Sawmill has been operating for over 22 years, is a busy seasonal café, iconic live music and function venue, with onsite accommodation.
