Processing Clerk (6 months fixed term- part time or full time) AUCKLAND CBD

Air New Zealand's Group Shared Services (GSS) provides shared business services to Air New Zealand nationally and around the globe. We have an opportunity in the Accounts Payable Processing team, a customer-centric, detailed-focused group with a continuous improvement ethic, ensuring the timely processing of tens of thousands of mailpieces per month.

Previous experience is not required in this role but a good attitude and comfort working across multiple computer systems is needed.  We are open to considering part time 20 hours for the role as well as full time 40 hours. 

In this role you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate receipt, distribution, batching, data capturing, scanning and handling of various original documents and transactions that require processing by Group Shared Services (GSS). You will also resolve any discrepancies that arise, file documents as required and process any routine transactions using a variety of systems and be able to constantly adhere to weekly and monthly deadlines.

Key challenges will include:

  • Minimising the number of unprocessed documents or transactions in accordance with defined standard operating procedures

  • Meeting or exceeding all agreed service levels

  • Understanding the consequences of processing errors

  • Making recommendations to improve work & data flow increasing efficiency, accuracy and timelines

  • Understand and work with varied systems, read Airway bills

  • Resolving queries that arise timely and in a professional manner providing excellent customer service at all times.

With a minimum of three years secondary education, we are looking for people with a good attitude who are comfortable with completing repetitive processes. An intermediate level of Microsoft packages and strong attention to detail is essential, and you'll have a track record of reliability and dependability. You'll be a good communicator who is able to prioritise effectively to strict deadlines, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to display a positive and can-do attitude!
