About the role
Our Finance Business Partner is a key member of the Vector leadership team, reporting directly into Vector’s Group Manager Finance. With offices based across New Zealand you will provide financial leadership, commercial insights on business performance, strategic and tactical insights on business opportunities and ensure integrity of financial systems and processes of the metering business. You will also provide support on budgeting, forecasting, reporting and leading a small management accounting team.
In addition to this, developing strong working relationships with the Finance Leadership team and their teams to enable the Finance team to engage, support and challenge the divisions around financial performance and tactical initiatives
Other key focus of his role includes –
the provision of accurate, relevant and timely advice and management information to the allocated business areas;
the provision of strategic and tactical insights on business opportunities and/or projects to deliver better business outcomes;
ensuring an effective control environment; and leading direct reports
Who we are looking for
You will have a relevant Chartered Accountant qualifications with 5+ years’ experience in a senior finance role. Ideally beginning in accounting and audit, followed by experience gathering, evaluating, presenting, and reporting financial information to executive teams and external stakeholders. Other skills and attributes we are looking for are:
· Knowledge of SAP or equivalent
· Highly developed leadership skills, credibility, and integrity
· An in-depth understanding of management, financial, regulatory, and tax reporting
· Significant commercial acumen
